petes117: There are some balance issues with difficulty... I accepted a contract on a werewolf, found it, researched it best I could (as far as I know) but can't even defeat it on EASY mode. When his health gets down to 40% he started regenerating quicker than I can deal damage... hope they address that one in a patch.
Also found I had to drop the difficulty to NORMAL (Story and Sword) for an encounter with a Wild Hunt boss (on a quest with a witch in Velen), as he was very powerful and I was getting frustrated after 10+ attempts. I've settled on that normal difficulty for now, seems best for me now that the enemies are harder after that intro area.

did you find out his weaknesses? I had the same issue, thinking I could defeat him using the standard "quen, run in for a few hits, back off, rinse repeat tactic" but his regeneration was too fast.
But looking up his weaknesses showed him weak to Igno.
A blast of igni stopped his regeneration in it's tracks and stunned him making him super easy to finish off. I think I took a single hit in that fight.
so have you guys played the previous 2 titles first ?
I am anal in that I cannot play a sequel until finishing the earlier one(s), and I still have Witcher 2 in my 'must play next' list (which gets longer with every Steam sale...)
so will likely wait until NEXT summer Steam sale to pick it up...

petes117:Dstarzero: quick question. Can my PC play this or is it time for an upgrade?
current build
CPU: Core i7 920 OC @3.6
RAM:12 GB
GPU GTX780 ti
I'm abit concerned that the CPU might be a bottleneck since the GPU seems like it can handle it at ultra.
Your CPU will be fine for Ultra settings. Apparently even a 2.2GHz quad core is enough. See this article: http://www.pcgamer.com/durantes-witcher-3-analysis-the-alchemy-of-smoothness/
But you won't be able to use Hairworks with a GTX780ti without tuning a few other options down to High to maintain 60FPS.
