Players from the world of warcraft meet here, I think I need to find some more players. Im on the Dath'Remar server (I think that how its spelt) Anyone stuck on any quests?
I've got a 14 day trial but I haven't used it yet - partly because I'm scared I'll get addicted to it, and partly because I'm not sure how it will play with my crappy limited upload speed. How do you find it? I'm guessing that you would recommend that I try it out?
Yes, use the 10 day trial and log onto the Dart'Ramer Server. I was talking to someone who was playing (just) on dial up and they were doing ok so your upload should be fine
I got lvl 60 undead rogue and lvl 60 orc lock on Uldum server. Also I got lvl 64 priest on Jube'thos server. I had a char on rp server but gm banned my name LOL, it was Chuknorris, so screw rp servers.
I finally installed my 14 day trial. And I've got to say I'm impressed. It looks amazing, plays amazing and my crappy internet connection isn't a barrier. Unfortunately there is absolutely no way that I can justify $20 or so per month to play. Which is a shame, because I can see it could become addictive!
I must first off admit that I'm not that much of a rpg fan (let alone a mmo) and have been stuck playing games like call of duty and even racing games like flatout2 or even toca driver 3 (v8 supercars 2or 3 equivalent!?!) so first off I'm natrually going to not like it.
But having played it once or twice I can see somewhat why people do get addicted to it it it somehow compels you to do better (ie stats bf2 anyone??? :P ) and the game did have a few nice features but I really dont think it does quite justify the monthly fee but then again I am a great fan and support of open source (ironically I haven't got linux installed at the moment just need another hard drive, as usual, as got no space for a partition! but i do try to help with anything I can with projects!) and freeware so some decent games can be found but some do need to be bought ( call of duty and uo any others!!! :D )
