Hi guys
Hope you had a nice Christmas.
I bought 4gb console with Kinect the other day and just wondering how to increase disk space. I see some 320gb media drives on eBay are these compatible with any Xbox model. Any thing I should watch for? Am new to gaming and consoles and any advice greatly appreciated.

Hey there other than the possibility this is a fake the description etc from your link looks like it would be exactly what you would need to turn your 4gb into a full slim console. At that price too it's a good deal (didn't take notice of shipping so this may even it out).

The cheapest I've seen these drives in a store (online) is for about $85 - $90 so it's sounds about right for a competitive market like that. (Sorry those prices were for 250 gig) it's about $125 for a 320 gig from nzgameshop.com.

Which would possibly be one of the cheaper prices from a store selling in the nz market. Good lkuck with your purchase if you go ahead with it. :-)

Just to clarify what I mean by fake is the drive size could be spoofed and or the part may not be xbox genuine however it's not to say this is the case for the product you listed. There are plenty of ways and places (and or people) out there who could sell you a compatible Xbox Slim Hard Drive for a lot less than places like Ebgames etc

i bought the white 4gb xbox when it came out and bought this hdd from nzgameshop, works fine.

the cheap ones usually arent partitioned correctly and wont let you play original xbox games

I brought the 320GB expansion drive from Dick Smith 18 months ago to upgrade my 4GB. The one that came with Star Wars lego or something similar. I saw the same drive for around $120 on special at DSE around boxing day. Worth checking out.
