Hi,

I'm trying to format my external HDD so that my son can play Destiny on Xbox 360. I've done the partition on the HDD, changed it to FAT32, and I've also done the configure on Xbox, but it is still saying that the HDD doesn't meet requirements. I check the HDD after and it says that there is 32GB free.

Am I missing something? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Is it using usb 2.0/3.0 or the just the old one?

If you're using anything other than a 3.0 or a top of the line 2.0 then it won't be fast enough and you'll encounter more errors then it's worth. (long load times, textures popping in or not loading at all)

Thanks for replying.

I went out today and bought a 32GB flash drive. It says "Universal use version USB 1.1, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0" and the storage is now saying it meets requirements. But every time I click on the game, it keeps saying "You must have an Xbox 360 Hard Drive in order to play Destiny".

Do I actually need an Xbox Hard Drive or should I be able to do what I'm trying to do and I'm just missing something?!?!!

Yes, I've got the game disc. And the game is on the HDD. When I go into storage device, its on the HDD and says I've got 22.2 GB free. So, not sure what's going on.

Would you mind booting the game up and posted a picture of the error you get?

Does destiny have a required install? Not much experience with it on the 360.

Had a bit of a hunt around online and from what I can see external storage will not cut it for this game it requires an actual hard drive in the Xbox of at least 20 gb

I bought a 250GB internal hard drive for it and that's fixed it. So, as said above, USB doesn't cut it.

Got a couple of memory sticks going cheap, ha ha!!

Thanks again.
