Playstation 3 Connection test reads as follows

IP Address: Successful
Internet Connection: Successful
PSN: failed

My ISP is Flip

I've tried a Belkin and Technicolor modem. Both fail me at PSN

Been on the phone with Sony Playstation and email with Flip as cant get through to them via phone line. And they're both putting the blame on each other. Pathetic

I think it is Flip at fault, cause I can not connect to my PSN via wifi but I do get on to PSN via my android phone's wifi hotspot.

Issue 2:

When connected through hot spot, my ps3 reads type 2 on the connection test
But when on Advanced Warfare's mulitplayer screen, it says nat type STRICT

HEEELP please!

AFAIK Flip use CG-NAT

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier-grade_NAT

That is the most likely reason

I guess it's a matter of knowing whether anything is actually broken, or whether it's simply a symptom of CG-NAT

Whilst anything is 'possible, it's very unlikely to be CGNAT.  CGNAT might prevent you from hosting a server, but it shouldn't prevent you from connecting to PSN.

I haven't been able to sign in to psn since Tuesday evening.
Plenty of people around the world have had the same problem.

I haven't tried that. I'll try next time tho, as I'm sure it will go down again.
