Hi - this is driving me nuts. I've got an xbox one and games with gold subscription. I'm trying to "purchase" free games and keep getting this error - You have no valid payment options on file. - when I've got both credit card and paypal accounts setup. There's a change payment options link which takes me to this page - https://live.xbox.com/en-US/account/billingaccountinformation

This is a US page which errors if I try to complete details. I get the same result through console or windows.

I've tried the xbox ambassadors and am getting nowhere .... any assistance gratefully received.

Cheers

Is your Xbox set to NZ? Go to Settings => System => Language & Location.

I get that all the time too, Seems to need me to VPN to the US for it to accept payment on a US xbox account sometimes.

I have mine set to US because the paid games are much better prices, its a PITA to change it just to get some free stuff. Its usually the 360 titles that give the problem moreso than the xbone ones.

It's bizarre that Microsoft are promoting the backwards compatibility and XBOX Gold internationally (including the NZ branded website) but make completion of payments impossible.

If your console is set to NZ, they try changing the en-US to en-NZ and going about getting the games again.
