I decided to update the PS3 software tonight. I always find it takes forever via the PS3 so i decided to download via my pc then copy over. I am still only getting download speeds of under 10KB/sec.

I am on XNet. Do they shape PS3 traffic? or are other PS3 owners experiencing the same issue???

I think you'll find it's the international issue: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=65&TopicId=19794 (27 pages and still going).

Not just XNet, Orcon are having issues as well, basically NZ needs another cable to cope with international traffic.
