Hello guys,

I have a Netgear WNR3500L running a TomatoUSB (Shibby mod) custom firmware, which is connected from the internet port to a Netgear DM111PV2 in PPPoA Bridging.

I'm able to get internet and everything works from the router but the problem is the whole port forwarding and NAT?

I can assign port forwards in the router but when I check them with a port checker they are still closed.
Could I get some help and info to educate me on what's going on? Is the setup wrong?

Thanks

Is the WNR3500L getting the public ip address assigned to it's WAN interface via DHCP?

PPPoA half bridging is a bit of a hack, each vender seems to have implemented the feature differently. Haven't tried it with Netgear modem's myself.

I think it is getting the public ip address.

What port #'s are you fowarding? Are you sure the local PC doesn't have local firewall also blocking the ports (eg: windows firewall etc)?
