Please forgive what is certainly a duplicate query, but I've just spent half an hour searching the forums for a site that I saw mentioned here and haven't found it. It was a proxy service that I think had "over" somewhere in its name, and charges $5US p.m, but like the moron I am, I forgot to bookmark the site after clicking the link.  So I thought I'd ask for a list of recommended proxies that give US IPs. I don't mind paying, but would prefer ones that offer monthly service, so that I can just use it occasionally. My apologies again for my failure to remember and subsequent failure to search adequately.

Thanks. I did try them, after reading of them in the same (forgotten) thread, but the webseries I want to watch is only on Facebook, and I was unable to access it through unblock-us.com I had troulbe even logging in to Facebook trough them, and when I did, the videos I wanted to watch still said "not available in your country" even though the unblock-us software indicated it was installed and functioning correctly. They do warn on their FAQs that any site not specifically listed as tested should be considered as not available, and so it proved to be.

I was indeed, thank you! $9.95 US seems likes an acceptable amount for a month, and if it doesn't work, it's no great loss. Much obliged.

I use Overplay occasionally and it works fine. What I like is that you can install the OpenVPN software in your router flashed with DD-WRT so all devices on the network can use it when you want. Plus I use it on my Galaxy Nexus when I want to access Netflix over 3G when on the road.

As for unblock-us, I use that also but it seems to fail if you're trying to access content from a browser based app (like Facebook) and your ISP is using a transparent proxy. I am aware that Telecom, TCL and possibly Vodafone fall in that category.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.
