My First Post ^_^.....

Hey all....just gone through your guides(g8 of course!), and joined the forum . Ive some problem figuring out stuff, and im very new to networking. .Please help me out here ^_^

My network would be pretty much like this :

Note :

1)The server like system is just XPSP2, Had to change the look to diffentiate
2)New to visio too..Used it after seeing "Whats your LAN like?" Thread
3)The 2Mbps Line is just out of the box
4)Bluetooth systems have BlueSoiel Software installed , connected via dongle((All bluetooths are to be modded to 1km+ range)
5)There are some more visiting lappys which has BT installed .so i prefer to allow bluetooth , to change to wifi ...

Problems Cleared :

1) I need to share all systems With file resources and printer resources
Assigning an ip to each system on same workgroup did it, just had to go through the "dont have permission to use the network resource".. Cleared it by making anonymous registry value to 0. So, File , Folder and printer sharing was not a problem

2)Each System had a phone line for independent faxing.. faxing also a printer like service right?, so all i had to do was to share it to use it on two phone lines

3)Each system had a dialup profile, to be a last chance for net(actually they were used before broadband, but a backup doesnt hurt)

Current Problems :

1)Apart from File/Printer sharing , Internet had to be shared among all the system...The average use of the bandwidth was

    Server-80% , Others-20%

I WAS using a router bridge to the local lan to share the net through gateway, i had no problem untill now.
Since i have a new Router, i need to use both the routers to access net.The Plan i think is like so

During day hours:

--Server uses 100% bandwith from 256/512 line,Server NEVER TOUCHES the 2Mbps line as it has a DAMN 2.5GB U/D limit. It never uses the  2Mbps line even if 256/512 line is faulty

--Other systems Uses the 2Mbps line to access Net. Since these OTHER systems wont be using a lot of bandwith , they are sufficient to handle 2.5GB limit. IF by any chance, the 2Mbps line is Unavailable, IT HAS TO SHIFT TO 256/512 Line and still provide internet service. In this case, the OTHER systems request has to hold higher priority in the 256/512 router, and SERVER's bandwith is to be queued next. Thus, the internet facility in OTHER systems is ALWAYS LIVE

--Till now, i was limiting the maximum bandwith of SERVER to 80% of the original connection and 20% is SOLELY for OTHER systems. But, OTHER systems uses net mostly for browsing so 20% is not ever utilized. . Is it Possible to queue requests giving higher priority to OTHER system?.. Like prioritising HTTP or somethin??.. In this way i guess the bandwith will be used optimum..

During Night Hours:

--Server usues 100% bandwith from 256/512 line + 2Mbps Line. Since there are TWO WAN ips used in a single system, is it possible to make a custom bridge sort of thing in a software?..i heard that a special router can be used to combine two routers , but i think it might be possible in software i wrong?<<Probably
If not, how to use programs to use both connections , say a multiple tcp requester like flashget(ftp/http) to utilize the whole bandwidth:????

--OTHER systems would be shut off and no usage is usually there in their side. but,IF  an OTHER system  needs a HTTP, it still gets prioritised in either of the routers that are free

2)    The Multipuropse Printer has an onborad fax which operates independent of system call..So it prints out the fax simultanesly..IF the Multipurpose Printer's Fax is disabled, i need the server to pick up the fax call and get a softcopy of it stored in its hdd and update it to the Multipurpose printer when its on.

3)    I also currently ABSOLUTELY need to control the web sites accessable by the network systems.(i mean not user name/ password catching, but simply to monitor usage).. so i thought a proxy server might solve this, but when i bridge to bluetooth network, problem arises..

(Also , can i transfer all ftp calls from OTHER systems to 256/512 router so that it wont overcome 2.5GB limit?)
4)Since there are two Laptops currently active, i need to establish a PAN network via Bluetooth(since 1 has no wifi) to share both files, printers and net from SERVER to Lappy(no WiFi).

--When i create a PAN with Server-Lappy(no WiFi), i am unable to share any files/ folders from all systems and the lappy
--Both SERVER and LAPPY(no WiFi) gets PAN connected, both having static ips. i am only able to ping from each other systems (and  i get packet losses upto 50% with 0m range. is the BT fauly?) and not able to access each others workgroups. i also tried to use lappy via SERVER's Internet via gateway, but nothing worked
--Leaving file sharing alone, i tried to bridge PAN adapter in SERVER with the local Router and LAN adapter, but when i do this, i am unalble to PAN from SERVER at all as its IVT BlueSoiel always says "PAN adapter unpluged" and shows  as PAN ip. i guess its not recognizing it.So Bridging connections to a pool to use as gateway is ruled out.
--I Tried to use LAN access service, but it never works. It gets connected, but doesnt work via<<where am i wrong?
--I too need to use the LAPPY(no Wifi) as my OTHER system(ie 2 router rule)
--GPRS rates  are costly and i prefer to use Bluetooth when available..Also, i can sycronize Lappys with OTHER systems Via Server to have updated files and folders
5)I need to Share all the monitors among the systems via LAN too.

6)Since all Traffic goes through SERVER, i need to place a good firewall, with the 2router rules..<<is it possible??

7)When a Voip Application initiates a call in any of the system, (Say gtalk/yahoo/skype/msn/icq), bandwith has to be dedicated to these first then to http, then ftp/p2p etc

Is it possible to give these rules? like prioritising, monitoring. I thought to use a  good proxy program on SERVER, but i dono where to start..
8)Since the Smart Phones have GRPS (sadly no 3G here), i would like to use all my systems via mobile too.. i tried to use VNC till now, but it works only on one system as a common ip is used. moreover i doubt that ill be albe to do so with a proxy. So, the proxy should also allow VNC or otherwise...
9)Whats the difference between using a VNC /VPN? i see both as remote controlling programs, just that VPN usues tunnels..
10)ICS is surely ruled out( as MULTIPLE LANS are used and bridging is not workin).Any other way?

11)Is it possible to connect The printers on LAN so that the systems need not be turned on and 1 of the printer can be sold . Other ones are a dotmatrix and injet printer.

Please help me out with any info Possible...And SORRY FOR MY BIT LONG FIRST POST.. i tried to show my situation as much as i can.

I thank you for readin fully as it IS quite long, But any help would is greatly appreciated!!

I don't think I can help you much but as you mentioned it, I would love to see the above in the Whats your LAN like? thread Laughing
