I am having a ton of problems getting my PDA to access my internet connection. I have got it to sync over BT but nothing else.

So far I have gone through BT Guides, but no luck. Can someone help?

I am using a Belkin F8t003 USB hub (software version 1.3.2.7). I have set up the connections and networks. I have even added the script suggested. My PC is running XP.

When I try to connect the network, my pc shows a successful connection and my palm shows it is signing on, but I keep getting a PPP timeout error (0x1231).

Please let me know if I have left out any needed info. I am starting to look for a hammer to help "fix" this.

Thanks,

SAM.

Nyson, don't use the hammer yet!

Have you checked the checklist yet?

  • What's your computer current IP address?
  • What's your router (if any) IP address?
  • Do you have software firewall enabled?
  • Are you using the Windows XP firewall?
  • Are you 100% sure you're using "Allow other devices to access the Internet/LAN via this computer" as per the image below?

    Ok...one at a time

My IP from my ISP is 65.69.217.244. I am going through a router to my PC. My pc IP is 192.168.254.2. I am on a ADSL connection with my IP and DNS being assigned automatically.

I am running Zone alarm pro and I have disabled the windows Firewall. My Bluetooth properties for Network access is setup as the picture shows.

In my mind, everything is right. I know i am overlooking something very basic.

You probably have to disable or remove the Zone Alarm completely.

Check these other threads for related information:

forums.asp?ForumId=8&TopicId=243 for a Clie with the same error message.

forums.asp?ForumId=8&TopicId=262 and forums.asp?ForumId=6&TopicId=207 for problems with Zone Alarm.
