Apologies if this has been asked earlier... but can it be configured to work in different areas at different times? Would be nice if it could do an overnight vacuum in the living areas while staying away from the bedrooms, and do the bedrooms in the middle of the day.

I dont think so.

I haven't got one yet. But i read the version 2 can do this. With version one you can't. But i assume you could just close some doors.

For some reason that rather practical and obvious solution didn't occur to me!

Can't tell if sarcastic or not haha.

I usually just block its path with some chairs. That way, it can also get under the table too!

Yep, no full dustbin full sensor...I thought it did have one but have seen it get full and start to drop dust as it goes about its job.

Loving it though, so great waking up to a clean and tidy house. It does a really good job.

Thanks, hopefully daily cleans will eventually allow total autonomy!

Another question - is there any point to not have it on Turbo? Apart from conserve battery and noise?

Just received mine, is there an English manual available?

Thats a shame. Was it advertised for the Mi specifically?

We had a door snake lying around the house which is great for blocking off areas.

Not really.  Just thought I'd try something similar to see if it works.

It is branded as 3M but I doubt its authenticity.  I tried to stick it on metal but the magnet is very weak, similar to those cheap fridge magnet.

I've got some really strong circular magnets we're using for brushless motors at work.  I'll lay a number of those under a rag and see how the vacuum reacts.  I hope it doesn't damage the reed switch or whatever the vacuum is using.

I doubt it's a reed switch and hazard a guess it uses an inductive sensors to detect the presence and orientation of the magnetic field in the strip in which case the individual magnets would confuse it.

I think you need the right type of magnetic strip.

Has anyone got their working with Amazon Echo? Reading online it seems I need to change to the Singapore region for it to work, but slightly reluctant to do that as this thread suggests only the Mainland China region gets updates?
