SumnerBoy: Ok cool - so how are you activating those tasks? Voice commands?

I have a few tasker tasks setup - i.e. 'Coffee on' and 'Coffee off' turns the coffee machine on/off.

Found the 'Start...' apps option now. Can start Tasker and have setup a few favourites. Works well.

Also noticed Yatse has a nice little Wear app. This is pretty cool!

currently just via the tasker app and touch.  will play around and see if i can make i work via "Ok Google, Alarm Away" or something.  most useful one should be "Ok Google, open garage door".  the alarm should turn on automatically when there's no presence detected of course ;)

Yep - see my last post - you need the PRO version but you can activate 3 different tasks only. Still handy!

tasker for wear has a nice menu when you open it to launch the different apps.

... and now I found WearTasker has a similar (only saw the 3 favourites I added previously).  so yeah probably go with WearTasker now....

Not sure, but doesn't it only support 'Start Task' - i.e. no name afterwards? That means you can only start a single task using voice. WearTasker lets you do up to 3. Ideally they would let you speak the task name, but it sounds like the Google Voice API is lacking a bit in order to do that.

you are right, I misread the description.   Hopefully an update isn't too far away so you can actually say things like "Ok Google, [appname] [stuff-passed-to-app]"  so "Ok Google, Task open garage door"

God battery life on this is bad.

Sony watch is a lot better, just did 40% in 1 hour of playing and setting it up.

Mines dropped 30% in 5 hours of hard out tutu. I charged mine first out of the box though.

The microphone is accurate with google now and it seems responsive. I havent done much more than set up the basics.

Time to start looking for watch faces, apps and use it for a week or so prior to trying a different kernel

Yep I have been using mine ALOT since I opened it up at 8am this morning, and it is now sitting at 24%. I am more than impressed. I always knew it would need charging every night but if it can take this sort of use, including firmware updates and countless app installs, I think I will be quite content!

Heres some of what appear to be the recommended apps.
Install on phone, then Android Wear > settings > Resync apps
