I am guessing there may be quite a few first time smart watch owners here. Myself included.

Looking forward to its arrival on monday. I will be using its fitness trackers at first, im sure the notifications etc will be handy as well.

As i posted in the other thread there is a custom kernal that offers better performance/battery life.

Also you can expect an update to lollipop when we turn it on for the first time.

Will be comparing it to the original Samsung Gear. Looking forward to it.

I think I will be looking for a replacement strap soon - anyone have links to black steel bands?

Heres one, but would like one that is wider at the watch end

So, for those who already have theirs, what are you using it for? What works well/not so well? Any apps you have installed worth mentioning? Is it just notifications that are the most useful?

I like the find my phone app.
Also I use Evernote so that app working is a bonus.

I didn't realise how about watchmaker or facer either - seems there is a lot of custom faces out there that the community has made.
Going to try these apps tonight

Having a bit of a play with watchmaker prior to arrival. So many options!
