Hi guys, been looking at the forums but seem bit more advanced then I am.

Just given a UK alexa as a present but don't know how to set up as can't get the app on android here in NZ.

Can anyone advise best way of getting it started and can I do it without the app?

Browse to alexa.amazon.com on a PC with Wi-Fi and sign in with your Amazon account.

Click 'Settings' in the left-hand menu. In the right pane, choose the name of your device if pre-registered, otherwise 'Set up a new device'

Install the amazon app market on your device and you can get the alexa app from that. otherwise APKmirror will have it (i do the amazon market thing as that way it gets updated).
