Interested in picking up the Xiaomi Mi Smart Home Gateway online, can anyone confirm if its possible to buy one with a native the NZ/AU plug? If so, is there a particular model or model number to look for? Pictures online suggest it is, but learnt a long time ago not to trust pictures when buying from China.

Also interested in the Smart Socket Plug and Temperature and Humidity Sensor, and am a bit confused between the different models, is one model notably better than the others?

Any other tips on buy Xiaomi products online?

I just received mine last week, and I’m really pleased with it. As far as I’m aware they’re only available with a NZ/AU plug, which is great! Just be aware it extends over the switches of most wall sockets.
I bought a kit that came with a smart socket, a motion sensors and door/window sensor. All are now integrated into HomeKit with Homebridge, and it works really well. I’m very happy with it for the price.

Yes they have a NZ compatible plug, which is almost identical to the chinese mains plugs.

I have mine successfully integrated with home assistant. The funniest part is making the dogs freak out by making it bark like a dog.

I'll probably ditch it for a non-cloud based zigbee solution.

PS I bought this kit https://www.geekbuying.com/item/Xiaomi-Mi-Smart-Home-Suit-White-383260.html although it was on a flash sale for NZ$85 from gear best at the time.

I have one and a few sensors to give away, if you're in Wellington region?

I'm in Wellington would be keen on those sensors or hub if you still have them?
