I have an Athom smart plug V2 that needs updating apparently, Im using ESPhome Builder. After compiling and uploading I get the following error message...........

ERROR Error binary size: Error: ESP does not have enough space to store OTA file. Please try flashing a minimal firmware (remove everything except ota)

No idea what that means, what should I do next?

Thanks.

You will basiclaly have to edit its yaml to have none of your stuff in it and just what is needed for OTA, and then let it compile and upload that to it, and then put your stuff back in and compile and upload again. Something that you would think they could automate but there are a lot of holes in the thinking with ESP home and the way it works.

For Athom plugs there is a lite ESP interim build you can load as part of the update. You then apply your custom version.
