Hi all,
For quite some time now, I've been interested in changing my career path and getting into the Digital Marketing industry.
I have a Bachelors in ICT (Networking) and am in a FT job, but it's a pretty niche company with no growth opportunity so I feel like it's a good time to get started on my other interests.
Does anyone in this field have any insight on where I should start? Any noteworthy materials? Would it be be wise for me to go back to uni, or perhaps there are better courses to do?
I have a mortgage, so I'm a bit scared to shift to part time work/stop altogether so I can study for a year or two, but I'd find a way to get by to do this if going back to Uni is the best way to go.
Have check YT material and they do cover the fundamentals (lots of repeated content with different titles), but it kind of skips all over the show as to what topics are covered.
I'm also trying to implement some of the advice from such tutorials on my own social media to see what works/does not work. I find a lot of videos say you should follow/unfollow but it doesn't appear that that's what the real world marketers do. It is more on the richness of your content and targeting a specific audience in the correct manner instead of spamming follows. I had assumed marketers work with copywriters, but maybe I'm just being naive. Should I instead then learn about copywriting before the digital side?
Any info would be much appreciated.
Cheers
