Got my case from Apple delivered, still waiting on iPhone from Spark!

Yeah, sure is - 256GB Space Grey, I had a  bit of trouble ordering through the website so was in contact with support team, but eventually did it through the small business section of the website

My 2degrees order arrived at 10:05 – and I'm now painstakingly waiting for my X to update to iOS 11.1 (strange that it didn't come updated already) so that I can restore from my 11.1 backup.

First impressions – wow Face ID is fast. It feels like the old days when we didn't have passcodes and it was just "swipe to unlock". The white screens were a little yellow during setup, but then I realised that it's because of True Tone and the yellow lighting in my office.

Right, well I've been thoroughly screwed.

Ordered via Spark Digital at 8:04pm and am now being told it is on an 8 week backorder.

So I tried ringing Spark for ages at Queensgate and had no answer.  Then chatted with Spark online and they were less than helpful, telling me to ring the store.  Told them I had been ringing for ages so they tried contacting the store with no luck.  Called the store back and finally got through, only to be told "we'll call you back" because stock that had come in had not been allocated to the preorder customers yet so they didn't know who belonged to each device.

Sounds like a clusterfudge.

Plus apple.co.nz is showing 3-4 weeks now

I know, this is bulls**t.

EDIT: If anyone who ordered a 256GB Space Grey via Spark after 8:04pm who has received it (or tracking details) and doesn't mind me referencing their phone number or order number so I can go back to Spark with examples of orders placed after mine that have arrived might be helpful. If anyone in this position could PM me would be great. Thanks.

Spark Digital/Gen-i orders for iPhones have always taken ages IME. I don't think retail order information is going to help you.
