Interesting article in the Sunday Star Times this morning (page A6). Some gems...
...works in sync with Mac computers and the Vodafone NZ network. Not PCs then?
It launched in the US last week and more than half a million sold in the first couple of days.Ah really? Are you sure?
All questions about the iPhone have to go through a (VFNZ) man who is incommunicado at weekends, apparently.Anyone we know?
Basically, Apple and VFNZ are in communications lockdown and no detail is leaking. The manager at the main VFNZ store in Lambton Quay doesn't even know if the launch is happening at his store. Apparently, GamePlanet is doing a bit of rumour-spreading, although nothing that hasn't already been mooted here (I wonder what their source is).
This article's nicely finished off with a quick interview with the CEO of Fairfax Media NZ who loves her 1st generation iPhone (just to rub it in methinks). She did ask Russell Stanners if it would be okay for her to use it on the VFNZ network... did you ask Apple as well, Joan?
