I'm not going - but it sure feels good being on the International Date Line...

[Imagines getting one and calling a fanatic in the US, rubbing it in...]

Man I'll TOTALLY be there! :)
Just wish I could get some solid info for a change though! Seems logical that they's have a midnight launch!

I have better things to do, such as running into rusty nails or putting a fork into an electrical socket.

But if I was buying one, i'd be there.

I think you'll find that companies like Xero will milk this opportunity for all it's worth - especially considering there's a Vodafone store across the road from the Xero HQ in Wellington.  Xero recently launched their mobile app and would be silly not to try to tap into the hype surrounding the launch - Especially after Rod was interviewed on TV3 news the other week when the 3G iPhone was announced.  I don't think there will be mass hysteria, but I do think key stores in the main centers will have queues.

What does a day off work cost you, and is that extra cost worth getting an iPhone a few hours/days earlier?!

Hi all, yes we're doing some special stuff around the launch and around being first in the world. I'm getting calls from places like London and LA about availability, whether they can buy a suitcase full and that kind of thing.

We're not going to have millions of them so there will be issues around supply ...

And the price will be nice. Laughing

Cheers

Paul
