Same here. Arrived in Auckland today at 3.57AM. Signed up to DHL Express account via the app using same email and mobile phone number as Apple order and the tracking details were there to see. I am expecting the phone to travel to Hamilton today via their trucks and be delivered tomorrow.

Do whatever you want to do man.

I wonder what the stock situation is with the Telco's? I ordered through 2Degree's as my wife wanted to move to a monthly plan and the trade-in on her iPhone 11 was/is a good offer. I ordered the morning the pre-order went live on the 2Degree's site.

Got to hand it to apple marketing. To get people thinking the island is amazing shows 1 of 2 things, how good they sell something, and how mentally retarded the buying public is that we think it’s amazing

First off, that's not a great term to use (retarded).

Secondly, I think it's an incredibly uncharitable take. If there's going to be a notch-like thing, and through clever design you can make it into somewhat of a design feature, why is that a bad thing?

I agree with your comments (especially the 'retarded' comment as I have a child with a disability) although I did smirk a bit when they named it the 'dynamic island', I wonder how long it took the marketing people to come up with that. The feature looks pretty cool in the videos I have seen though.

Yep - IMO it's actually a very clever piece of design around a troublesome 'area'. Looking forward to it.

I pre-ordered via Spark (usually via Apple but got a few things with Plan upgrade) and just got notified with a tracking number that it will arrive at Palmy store in 1-3 days, so I'm hoping for pickup late tomorrow.

Pro in Deep Purple - Going to be a hell of an upgrade from my 1st Gen SE and Ive been tormented by my wife's 3 year old 11 Pro which is still going strong.

Nice one! Can I ask roughly what date/time you pre-ordered through Spark?

The first morning of pre-order - 10th Sep about 10am

It will be interesting how the swap over from SIM in old phone to e-SIM in new phone goes while swapping everything over

I pre-ordered mine (14 pro, purple) at 2am on the first day and I still only managed to get delivery for mid-October. Sad panda. My 8 is way overdue for an update though!
