ChrnoXIII: do you guys belive the rumours that apple are delaying the white iphone to fix the antenna issue?

Yes I personally do.  I mean seriously, no white back cover?  Apple can make any company flip over 360 degrees with a flick of the finger.

Well i doubt they will do any changes on the phone even after September 30. They are way to arrogant (and deservedly so) to change the design. The bottle neck lies in the dye used for white cover. I am guessing its a production issue related to showing a perfect white contrast. Remember, the slightest imperfection, such as yellow tint cause by the glue can show up loudly in a white case.

Besides, they are already struggling to supply with the current demand, allowing customers to order white ones would delay supply further.

well i've read many accounts from people who have done testing on the iphone 4 antenna (anandtech for example) who say that the problem could be easily solved by coating the stainless steel band in a non-conductive coating. simple, not too expensive to implement, no major design change, and undetectable by most of the public = no admission of wrongdoing as well as fix their product.

re: everything about stock.

Limited, of course it will be limited stock, how else will they get people really wanting one.

By making it high demand.

just a guess.

Hmmm, have been told by someone at a Vodafone store that in phase/wave 1, iPhone 4 will be available on account only in stores. Prepay is online only or something like that... Not sure how true this is :/

Why the hell release on a Friday and then make online orderers wait ages? :/

I think the stores are down internationally - it might be the release of the new rumoured iMacs / Mac Pros.
Hopefully some good news for iPhone 4 for us as well :)

That's my guess as well, I'd be surprised if iPhone 4 is listed.

Hopefully the iPad will be listed though!

32GB will just be $200 more and outright purchase will be the exact same as the 3GS LAUNCH
