In preparation for Iphone X arrival I ordered AirPods - they were due for delivery yesterday. I live in Weliington. I tracked their progress from Sydney to Auckland overnight arriving 0534am and then they were send down to Christchurch where they spent most of the day eventually to go back to Auckland in the late afternoon. I had an email from Apple in the early evening apologising and saying that my shipment may be delayed!

I see this morning they have left Auckland again hopefully on their way to Wellington but who knows! This has been with DHL

The wireless charging version will be released at some point ?when.

My AirPods have now arrived in Wellington and are out for delivery so hopefully will see them some time today.

Does anywhere have stock at the moment? After a 256GB space grey (though potentially silver). Ordering direct from Apple looks like second week of December, or via 2Degrees (business) apparently a four-week wait.

It will be interesting to see how they price this. I would imagine that if I were to buy an Airpower mat for home, plus another one for work, plus the Airpods case then it would be a cost of several hundred dollars.

It's a hard sell just for the convenience of not having to spend two seconds physically plugging in a cable.

A guy at work has a charge pad he got from china, and it works with my Gen3 watch and his Iphone X and airpods. Cost him $20 NZD. Hes gonna bring a couple back from china.

That is interesting as the Airpods with wireless charging haven't been released have they?
