common sense? So they are going to alienate the rest of the country by not giving first mobile stores stock? Not everyone lives in the main centres. The nearest vodafone store is over 350km away, the nearest first mobile is less than a 1km. Possibly not all first mobile will get stock, as in aucklands 200+ stores, but "common sense" would say that every town would be allocated stock.. Saying that only official vodafone stores will get them is retarded
MattD: Thanks Nick, was referring to the one on street with full livery. Looked like a full VF store but did not show up in store listings.
I Think we have blown the whole "Only vodafone stores get the iPhone" theory out of the water. because, you're right. The main Dunedin store is a First Mobile... But the manager instore, plus a couple of other sources have confirmed to me they will have them as of 9 or 10am Friday July 11.

You know I may be naive but as the statement says -
iPhone will be available at hundreds of Vodafone locations across New Zealand. Which means there's probably one near you.
That is a big call to make if you are only planning to supply certain stores etc on the stated (11 July) day. Particularly when that day is the one you click on to find out further information about where to purchase from.
Otherwise I think that would be completely false advertising.
That's True. but for the first batch its going to be such limited stock that we are guessing it wont be everywhere. the second batch will be all around the country though i think... Speculation Speculation

Kind of disappointing, really.
I mean, im under 18 and I don't have a credit card (thats assuming they doing the whole credit-card thing like USA did), so i mean how the hell am I meant to get an iPhone?
I had teh 1st gen, and absolutely loved it.
But what am I to do about getting the new one anyone got any ideas? Because I was planning on doing the whole wait in line crap for a day or two, because ihave nothing better to do these holidays (please note, i do have other things to do, i would just rather have my phone sooner rather than later)
Because I take it they're gonna' want credit checks and everything done, correct me if im wrong (please be wrong *fingers crosses*)
I reckon they're gonna fly out like hot cakes.. so, I really hope i am wrong, because that means me getting a phone is going to be delayed (oh crap, another week or 5)
