They are definetly leaving it to the last minute!

Proabably so they dont have the same situation that Rogers had in Canada, leave as little time as possible for people to s*** on their PR launch, whenever that comes :)

ummm...because there's more important things than an announcement from Vodafone?

Seems a few people aren't happy...

What could be more important?? Lol yeah I know, but I'm SO sick of waiting!
Why would they put it to so late?

Maybe Vodafone have decided (due to a small initial stock) to make them last a long as possible.  In doing so they will forego the midnight launch and release their info at the same time they start advertising and selling ie. friday.

Worst case scenario ... but I'm kind of expecting it now!

I think every provider should have released their plans simultaneously (obviously earlier, not leaving it until 4 days before launch or something)

That way, no one gets a head start on anything, no fear, and best of all everyone is subject to the same criticisms for the same length of time.

Worst case scenario. :(
Conflicts hugely with information I've heard from people I trust though.

Yeah, looks like I as many others are pretty pissed at Voda.
Really makes me wonder why they haven't released any information. Although, what was commented on earlier about this being like Canada.. You could be right, unfortunately.

Christ people, chill out! Details will come. The plans will be expensive. You know it, I know it; we live in New Zealand for god's sake. I don't reeeally understand why you're all so uppity about the plans being released NOW. You're all gonna get one anyway, so just sit tight and wait quietly :P

I am beginning to wonder if V'Fone stock of iPhones is so low, that they are deliberately trying to do things  to hose down expectations,

I mean the whole no-pre registration, no public info on which stores will have them, no pricing, is not exactly doing great things for their reputation in the early adopter (OK, Geek) community.

Given how far down the Apple computer supply chain NZ typically is, I am not holding out hope that V'fone have anywhere close to enough phones for what demand appears to be apparent on these boards, let alone anyone else.

But all we can do is wait.

I better hope that our bickering doesn't affect the release of the plans (we might be influencing them to change things at the last minute Surprised)
