Price is about the same as aus prices. I wouldent of been suprised if the 64gb was $1500

The release already says it's $1349.

tdgeek: Will our version of iOS5 be Siri-less??

I'm not sure things like map integration will be available ie: "give me directions to Te Papa from here".

I've definitely read that questions relating to specific locations\services will not work here ie: "where's the closest ATM", or "show me italian restaurants nearby" etc.

I'll be extremely happy to be proven wrong, but that's my understanding. This is the main reason I'll probably be waiting for the 5.

Mauricio said it was mentioned in the press release, but I cannot see it in his posted URL. Stuff is not sure. I'm wondering if there are 2 iOS5 versions, one for the haves and havenots?

Siri will definitely be on the phone. Calendar, alarms, reminders, google\wiki type questions will work fine, but how well integrated into location\service apps for NZ use is the question. As I said, I suspect it won't be.

It looks like Siri uses Yelp.com to find things like restaurants etc.
Since there isn't an Nz version of Yelp I'm guessing it won't work.

Maybe they could get it to work with a local 'review' website (localist?) but that would probably require quite a bit of investment to integrate it with their database.

Are Apple going to be carrier agnostic with the 4s?

I haven't seen these launch details on Vf's website yet, so are Apple not sending the memos to them?

Does this mean XT will officially get it also?

Just got a reply from Apple and the word is "we have not announced carrier details yet."

I really hope that XT/Telecom also gets to sell Iphone 4s. But dont really have high hopes. Still dunno why they never sold Iphone 4 when XT was launched.

I would say from an answer like that that it is quite likely. Remember that Apple said in the keynote that they we're adding many new carriers and this was part of the reason for the delay.

Probably due to Apples agreement with Vodafone.

Whether or not Telecom wanted to sell it they probably couldn't get their hands on the iPhone.  For an operator that wasn't selling the iPhone they sure went out of their way to make it easy for iPhone owners to set their phones up on the XT network.

Lets not forget the recent Carrier Settings pushed to phones on XT recently. I don't see that for any other carrier. This, personally, is it a strong indication that they would be coming to XT.

I agree, I was commenting on why Telecom haven't had the iPhone in the past, I think that's about to change.
