ahmad: SMS Update PLEEEEEEASE!

Will be available in a week or two.

It has a little delayed, but as you know, technological developments tend to be delayed due to unexpected obstacles. We, as a company that cares about users’ experience, prefer releasing a fully-working product a little later than expected, rather than releasing it as early as possible, yet buggy and disappointing.

We will keep you posted once the release is a few days away.

I can accept that but here's a tip I can offer you for free:

"Under promise and over deliver" rather than "over promise and under deliver".

You have upset a lot of users waiting for the "February" SMS update, as well as those waiting for a "March" Android version.

If you can't realistically make the targets then better not to give them at all.

Just my feedback :) We still love you!

Hi everyone,

Has anyone installed the new iOS4.3 on his/her iPhone?
Are there any problems when using Viber after installing the new iOS?

Thank you,
Viber.

Today I changed my sim card from telecom to 2degrees .
When I tired to call another viber user it rings then says connecting then nothing, called ended.

I deleted then reinstalled viber, got the access code etc.

Other viber users call me. Viber rings i answer it says answering then it hangs up.

Any ideas?

IPhone 4 or 3GS? If 3GS or below you may not be in 3G coverage with 2degrees and suffering bandwidth problems?

I've been using viber for couple months now and it works great on 2D. Even on edge it seems to work okay. Call quality seems excellent as well. Only problem i have is that not everyone is using it so still have to pay for some of my calls haha. Also I got my activation code instantly when i installed it.

Oh I got it working properly.
I think viber was getting confused as I hadn't changed my number to my new one in address book.
Changed my number in my address book to new 2D number. Calls connect now, all good.

Hi everyone,
in the past few days we've run some maintenance work in our servers, and this might have been the cause for the bugs you experienced.
Please tell me if problems still occur, as we understand that all is back to normal, and we'd like to make sure Viber works well for all our users now.

Hello everyone,

I am excited to inform you that within the next few days our new version - Viber 2.0 - will be available for download in AppStore.

So what's new in Viber 2.0?

- OUR NEW TEXT MESSAGING SERVICE!
- TONS of bug fixes, including connectivity problems, issues with users who aren't identified as Viber users, and many many more.
- An improved calling mechanism that allows you to know if the other side's Viber is actually ringing
- A "Don't show this message again" option when trying to make a regular GSM call through Viber
- A new, easy option to deactivate your Viber account from inside the application itself
- Relocation of "Favorites" tab

I would like to remind you that our next goal is VIBER-FOR-ANDROID!
We estimate that this will be ready within the next month or so, but you'll have to stay tuned for updates as these estimates might change.

Thank you, and as always - feel free to ask any question.
Viber Media.

I've just started using it.

Both me and my called on Cable... using WiFi.. the call starts out good but gradually quallity drops to 'poor' and theres a lot of breakup..

Rather annoying.

clarity of the audio is astounding! Plus, can't wait for the SMS feature to be added (I hope it's free).

No doubt somewhere down the line there will be advertising added or cost to call.. I can't see a free model lasting forever!
