Loismustdye: Ordered from apple this morning and canceled the Noel order.
Salespeople on the phone said 15-18 November, email to confirm the order moved the date forward to October 28th - early November.
Far more impressed with Apple's process than Noel Leeming.

Are you for real, I ordered one from Noel Leemings, told 3-4 weeks (order 4 weeks ago) and now you are getting these saying 28th to early nov. WTF.

Not entirely sure of your point but if you read the thread you will have seen myself and a couple others placed orders with Noel Leeming in launch day more than a month ago and received zero updates or approximate delivery dates

Hence after ordering a month ago and getting no updates or communication whatsoever I cancelled the order and paved it from a company that actually placed importance on customer feedback/communication, and gave me a delivery timeframe and dates rather than a "oh you placed an order a month ago and we have nothing for you whatsoever regarding any item".
I will happily take a delivery time frame of next week over no indignation at all any day of the week.
So, yeah WTF indeed Noel Leeming

Yea I rang up and went in store, in September 23, and both times was told 3-4 weeks. Ordered, now 4 weeks later they are saying sorry no ETA, then seeing your post is like well then Noel Leeming's knew there date for ETA of watches but are lying to there customers, just to get a sale.

Balm its gone!

Also, if anyone is after a cheap first gen watch try jbhifi online, they've got them for half price or less, darn good pricing.

I started my new job today and have figured out that delivery processes there, so I've now cancelled my Noel Leeming order and re-ordered from Apple.

I got an email from Noel Leeming a week ago apologising for the delay, but as of today they still seem to have no idea if or when they will have stock available. The order confirmation from Apple is quoting 18 - 25 November as the target delivery date, but hopefully that might move forward based on other experiences here. The wait doesn't worry me too much - my main priority is not to reward Noel Leeming for their poor customer experience.

My original order with Noel Leeming was for a 42mm aluminium with white sport band, however my re-order with Apple is for the stainless steel version because I have a bit of extra money now and I may as well get something that I'm likely to want to keep for longer.

As I stated earlier my only gripe with the stainless is that it does mark easily, however the screen does not! I am happy over all with my apple watch and ended up going through the leather loop, Milanese loop and sports band, the sports band being the best.

I do have the leather loop around somewhere that I should clean up and sell!

clinty: Oh and an expected delivery date of 27oct-2 Nov :)

Clint

It appears Apple may have pushed back the date by a week or so. Anyone else had a date change?

Also anyone with their order still in with Noel Leemings had a confirmed ETA yet?

My email from a week ago from apple still states 28th to 4th november, the apple site shows a week later yesterday when i checked.
However checking today on their site everything is blocked by one of their stupid "weve got something special for you" banners, blocking access to anything other than that on the website.

I should correct my post as the apple siteactually states 14th to 18th November.
However of interest noels sent out an email advertising the Nike version as available now, yet their website says "we may need to order this in"......... I'm guessing people well be waiting for a while for these as well if they ordered from them.

I placed my order with Apple on Tuesday night and the confirmation email showed 18-25 November which is still consistent with what's showing when I check the order status. My gut feeling is that Noel Leeming wouldn't have been able to deliver in the next couple of weeks, so I don't think I've delayed things too much by re-ordering with Apple instead.

It would have been nice to have had the device before the Queenstown marathon on the 19th, but it's not really a big deal. At least I have confidence in Apple to deliver when they say they will.

Do yourself a favour and get a sports band for this if you haven't already, the leather tends to smell bad when you sweat

Yes, I've ordered the one with the white sports band. I do a lot of running - usually about 30km a week - and I want to be able to easily rinse the watch and band after each run.

My emailed date of 28th to the 4th has been and gone with no update, I'm guessing the original quoted date from the apple website side of the 14th november applies.

My order is still showing the 18-25 November date range as originally quoted, so I think it's unlikely that I'm going to get it early. They must be quite supply constrained.
