I've just heard from Spark that they will be offering pre-order from October 17, and they have details on their online shop now.

According to the Apple website the Mini pre-orders open on 7th of November at 2am and will be available from 13th of November. The same goes for iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The iPhone 12 and Pro (excluding Max) pre-orders start on 17th of October at 1am, and delivery from 23rd of October.

If they update the Homepod product line it will be interesting to see if it'll be available in NZ.

Either way I'll stick with my Sonos gear as they are a specialist audio company.

I will challenge you there...

They are software company who bring in outside speaker designers to develop their transducers.

They focus on patents and other such elements for financial viability - so they are very much cut from the same cloth as Apple in some ways.

If you want a specialist speaker company, it's B&W / Klipsch / Elac / DynAudio / Polk / Sonus Faber / Kef / Tannoy etc.

Or Sonance... the company that Sonos got to make their in-ceiling and outdoor speakers because they know that they are, outright, a software company.

Nah they are also a hardware company and have a lot of great hardware people too. They made ipod hifi before the homepod and now the mini. It just so happen that you need good software to go with the hardware to make them useful.
They also literally make their own A series SoC too. Compare to a lot of other phone makers that just slap the off the shelf snapdragon into their device without optimizing much or even keep them updated.

Or else you'd be considering nvidia and amd to be a software company too.

I dont see any pricing information - just a "coming soon"

All three operators (Spark, Vodafone, 2Degrees) told me yesterday that they would have pricing details up today. maybe they are all waiting on each other to see what each other is offering before undercutting with a better offer (in which case we might be waiting a while).

These are new released Apple products - don't expect any deals or undercutting on the device. Just go over to Apple NZ and check the device prices there as these will be the prices the telcos charge. The only difference in the telcos models would be how they structure their interest free deals, what the minimum mobile plans are and if they are going to throw in any extras. These would have been locked in and approved already.

T-13 minutes and counting. Still, a little torn between pacific blue and graphite. I've never had a phone that wasn't black.

Ordered my IP12 Pro 256 gig in Pacific Blue with a silicone case. Frankly an irrational purchase but work gave me a device subsidy and I can afford it. The IP is the least favourite of my Apple products but WTH.

Ordered my wife an iphone 12 128gb in red with the silicon case and magsafe charger. She is very excited and I'm looking forward to her hand me down phone to replace my mine which has some hardware problems.

She's had new phones the last two years, I've had mine since 2018 🤔

I went with 12 Pro Graphite 128GB. Lots of refreshing and internal yelling at the Apple Store (my wife is asleep so no out loud yelling). Delivers Friday 23rd.

Yup. Have to wait a little before I order my new iPhone. Always taking it to the Max ;)

We won't get delivery here in the middle east until the 25th. Fridays are the weekend here. Grrrrr
