suthland: Dear Viber - New SMS is great, especially texting daughter in Oz. Assume 160 character limit still applies and if so a character count, as with standard texting on iphone4, would be very helpful feature.

Thanks

Thank you for your suggestion,
The current limit for a single Viber message is 1000 characters.  This limit should be enough even for the very talkative among us :)

About the character counter - it is something we are considering to develop.

Viber is a great App im running it on my phone 4 IOS v4.3.1 with no major problems.

The only thing that gets under my skin is the SMS keyboard - it does not rotate when you rotate the phone.

For someone who has big thumbs like myself will find it hard to text with viber as the keyboard is only available in the portrait position

@Steve -
Landscape mode (rotating of screen and keyboard) is a new feature we plan to implement in one of our next versions.

@ALTRON -
The new version is absolutely usable.  It should actually run better than ever :)
Are you experiencing any specific issues?

Ok well all I can say is that it "works" on 3GS (both incoming and outgoing calls, and SMS) and we haven't experienced crashes, but I can't comment on your friend's specific crash situation. If your friend's one crashed every time on startup all I can say is that we haven't had this happen. Good luck!

xpd shame about your mic. Will it work with a headset? Annoying still.

Can anyone help with Viber - I am a new user and have an iPhone 3.  When I ring anyone else that has Viber, we can't answer the calls, the phone doesn't ring, it just gives me a "missed call" message afterwards.  Really frustrating.  When I ring - I know that my friend is sitting there waiting for the call and she can't see it ringing???

any suggestions?

Hi,
Please make sure that *all* Push Notification settings are enabled on both phones for Viber application.

In addition, please try using Viber on a different WiFi network. Is the problem the same?

Lastly, reboot your phone then try making another call.
