geekiegeek:I went with 12 Pro Graphite 128GB. Lots of refreshing and internal yelling at the Apple Store (my wife is asleep so no out loud yelling). Delivers Friday 23rd.
When is it likely that NZ retailers will have the iPhone 12’s on display? Mrs Code wants a 12 or 12 Mini to replace her 2014 iPhone 6 Plus - but wants to see them in the flesh before deciding which size she wants.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Was pre-ordering through the Apple Store app not an easy process?
I’ve never ordered direct from Apple (always gone with 2degrees but jumping ship since they don’t have 5G), but everyone always says the app is faster/easier than the online store.
I have to wait 3 weeks anyway as it’s a mini for me this year!
The process itself is easy, but a worldwide launch at the same time meant that the app and site were struggling to handle the amount of traffic.

Again I am very disappointed there is no new TV 6th gen box. Just can not understand the delay particularly since the code names have been appearing in the iOS all year (Neptune T1125). Plus that the HomePod's are not being sold here. ☹️

Please Apple.🙏
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
Preordered 128GB Pro in Pacific Blue as well! But I forgot to go for the MagSafe Case and Charger so I guess that'll wait until later... got a Spigen case which I'm hoping should be thin enough to lock on the magnet, but probably not.

I was wondering about third party cases. With luck, it will lock on just enough that you can get a decent charge speed but lift off with minimal effort.

I pre-ordered the iPhone 12 Pro 128GB Graphite. I haven't ordered any accessories, waiting to see what vendors start to release on the case front. I've been using a SIXT flip wallet case for my current device. Will see what they release and if any vendors release MagSafe cases.
So, is the purpose of the magnetic cases to clip on and off really easily?
I have always disliked cases because I think they look bulky and ugly, but it would be quite good to be able to just quickly attach one before going into an environment where my phone might be at risk of getting scratched.

...and to allow the Apple wireless charger to clip on. Doesnt look like the Apple charger will work through plain cases.

"Brought 3 from https://www.macsales.com recently, no duty which was a plus. May buy a 4th for my man cave. Stereo pair in the living area is amazingly good sound for the size of the speaker.
Their pricing is pretty sharp, cost me $246 US shipped (around $380 NZ) so cheaper than Australia. They seem to be refurb units as they come in plain packaging but I've had no issues with any of mine."
Based on this post in in the HomePod topic from geekiegeek in Jan of this year I ordered a HomePod from macsales.com on Friday morning (16 Oct) and the unit was delivered by courier (DHL) this morning Monday 19th Oct. The unit was shipped from Franklin Park Illinois USA. Price including shipping $NZ388.No duty asked for.
Impressed with the speed given the estimated delivery was for the Oct 28th delivery. So Covid-19 isn't slowing everything down.
Unit works well completely integrating into my network and delivers good sound giving another option to deliver sound. Also the unit does all that it is meant to except news when asked so does seem strange that it is not sold by Apple in NZ.
Handle9: The magsafe charger and case arrived today a day early. If only the phone would arrive early as well 🤣🤣
The Apple website says my iphone is still being prepared...yet delivery is still down for friday....
