The Apple website says my iphone is still being prepared...yet delivery is still down for friday....

My Watch went from preparing to shipped and then just sat there at that status until it arrived 5 days earlier than estimated.

I don't take too much stock of what those notifications say any more

Seems everything is coming from Australia, which often can be slower than when they all came direct from China.

Don't fret, you most likely won't get the "Your order has shipped" email until 8–9pm on Thursday.

It's like clockwork, every year :)

Interestingly, my recent Watch preorder shipped directly from China.

It went from preparing, straight to delivered - never went to shipped.

Some of the guys in the USA have figured out that if you take the reference number and put it into UPS it gives you tracking details even in the processing state. I tried with mine with TNT but no luck

nope it doesn't, all they done is stick a round magnet to the inside of the case.

the magnet isn't even flush in the case, you can feel it sticks out

Reviews of MagSafe aren’t stellar. I was keen on the wallet accessory but it too easily falls off. Good idea in principle but poor execution.

Feels like a QC issue. I'm assuming you mean the MKBHD vid but I saw a few more as well that have said (or it looks like) it's pretty strong. Comparison between him and another review here.

This definitely looks a little more concerning. Battery life isn't looking so stellar on 5G, which I guess isn't much of a surprise why 120hz wasn't also in this year, would've made the battery figures much worse.
