Just wondering - does the CGA apply if I buy a new iphone from the Apple store.

If not probably best to buy direct from NZ ie Vodafone, Spark DSE etc

Also has anyone been able to get an iphone / ipad repair outside the one year warranty period under the CGA.

Also complicated by the fact that extended apple warranties are available.....

It applies, assuming it would apply to you anyway.

I had a Apple TV that was out of the 12 month warranty, it wasn't working properly so rang apple NZ, they told me a possible solution but also said is if doesn't work that they will replace it, Apple TV was fine after doing what they said so I didn't get a replacement but they were willing even though it was out of warranty. I was ready to have a argument and give the CGA spiel but they were really nice and helpful unlike when I have to call ISPs with a problem.
