Just ordered the iPad 2 off Apple website. Delivery says about 1-2 weeks, guy on the phone said 3 weeks. What really is the average delivery time? Any other iPad 2 owners who bought off the Apple website? What was your experience?

The website times are usually pretty accurate.

Thanks. I'm just anxious because few years ago Dell laptop delivery time was double of the stated time..

My recent experience with the Apple Web site was originally 4 weeks, ordered on release date.

When the iPad2 turned up it was actually only 2 and a half weeks.

You will have received a confirmation email stating an expected delivery date. In my experiences with ordering from the Apple Store, Delivery has never been beyond this date.

Last year my iPhone arrived about 1 week earlier than was initially indicated. My ipad2 this year also arrived one and half week earlier. Very pleased with service.

Dell on the other hand emailed me one week AFTER the expected date to tell me they can't supply the laptop I ordered.

How long ago was that?

I just wonder if Apple are being too conservative with their delivery times. I would't blame them though.

I ordered as soon as it was available online and shipping was listed as 2-3 weeks. So delivery was actually four weeks after order but arrived exactly 2 weeks later. Very happy with the service.

Mine shipped today. Estimated shipping date was the 10th so 12 days early. Having said that, I ordered on the 16th so their original estimate would have put delivery at one month.

Gee that's nice of them. Hope it's same for me as well! Original estimate of shipping is 11th (just one day after your's even though I ordered about 10 days later than you) and original estimate delivery is 17th.. wouldn't mind seeing that jump ahead by a week or two but I guess it depends on their stock. I ordered 32 3g wifi.
