Hi,

I want to build a small cheap pfsense firewall to have a play with.

Anyone got a small thin client type machine with either two 100MBps network interfaces or 1 and a PCI slot?

Alternatively, a mini itx / pico atx based system.

I want to get something with a low power draw, so not a small form factor PC.

Thanks,

Kim

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you.

How much do you want to pay? If you're not looking for a super cheap 2nd hand system you can pick up some great value systems for even under US$100 on aliexpress

Have a look at those mini itx Supermicro Atom boards. low power draw but have good quality Intel NICs.

Thanks, I'll look and see if they have any dual network ones.

If it is just to play with/test it might pay to install it as a virtual machine if you have an ESXi running already.
