I have 2 that I purchased from Computer Lounge, but excess to my needs now
Brand new still in packaging and bubble wrap.

Bought for $429.95 looking at about $400.00.
Can provide copy of invoice too.

Bought on 24/11/2014

If in Welly, then can pick up before Sunday
If in Auckland can pick up after Sunday

Are they not? Never had that issue prior with any pc goods, just showed the invoice and it was taken care of.

I've even had shops i'm on good terms with add a HDD that wasn't bought from them to their RMA pile, as long as it was within the manufacturers warranty according to serial number.

I think you are right and I was wrong. Western Digital HDDs don't appear to have any limitation on tranfer of warranties. This makes these HDDs a good buy.
