After a free/cheap case with at least 4x 3.5" bays - dosent have to be anything fancy, dosent require PSU etc.

Is just going to be used to throw some old components into as a file server at home.

Prefer Nth Shore/Whangaparaoa location.

Thanks

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

HP xw4300 any good to you?  Working order.  Massey pickup.

I should have mentioned it's a CMT - so you have 3x 5 1/4" bays to play with.

Sheesh...  how's that for timing.  I've just acquired a Cooler Master case very similar to this one.   It has 4x 5.25" bays (all exposed) and 7x 3.5" bays (2 exposed).  Case is in excellent condition aside from the dust.

It's got a working E21xx processor/board/ram in it but twice a year the hard drive will become corrupted for no good reason so I'm assuming a board problem as it has recently scrambled its 3rd hard drive.

Free for Massey pickup (XPD gets first right of refusal) or it goes to the computer recyclers.

Do you have 2U,3U,4U rack type cases to barter? i.e. I have number of different tower cases which I am planning to use for my projects in the absence of rack mount horisontal types, but if I had an option I would prefer horisontal vs tower. I am just after emty boxes with nothing inside - no rails for HDD etc. I am in CBD but can drive to anywhere in Auckland in chase for a good 2U - 3U cases

I've got a 1U complete server that someone gave me a few months back, but nothing taller.  The motherboard in this one is dodgy.

Dynamic: I've got a 1U complete server that someone gave me a few months back, but nothing taller.  The motherboard in this one is dodgy.

I'll can take it from you if you are giving it away. One of my ambitious projects is to try to put High Voltage charger into 1U. Mission which looks almost impossible.
Internal content does not matter much - from dodgy server I can possibly utilize heat sink, fans and PS, although have heaps of my own stuff.

But are you sure it is 1U? One rack unit is 1.75 inches (44.45 mm) high.
If in Auckland - PM me please

Ruki picked up the 1U case last weekend but XPD is unable to collect the tower now.

Up for grabs if anyone wants it.  Pickup from near Lincoln Road, west Auckland.

See the post above (4-Feb-2015 15:05) for details.
