Looking for a couple of wireless charging pads for my S4.  Needs to be the Samsung type, to match the receiver in the back cover.

If comes with a charger, that would be a bonus, but not essential

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Why does it need to be samsung? Did they not do qi compatible on the S4 like the notes are?

I use the nokia ones I got cheap off the warehouse and cheap ones off ebay. The cheap ones are more allignment critical but charge.

PB had some samsung ones listed on sale when I looked a few days ago, it may have been a weekend only deal tho.

I know the samsung one will 'just work' with my phone and chargers.

Looking at Samsung's web site, you are correct: The cover I have is Qi certified so will work with any Qi compatible charger.

As you point out alignment is critical.  The thing I like about the s-pad is that it's shaped to align the phone correctly for charging.

I'm happy with any charge pad that is qi compatible, aligns a Galaxy S4 nicely and has the correct charger socket.

Finding a Qi charging pad is not hard, but finding one that is properly tuned is not that easy.  With bad tuning comes inefficiencies resulting in heat resulting in a swollen battery - been there done that.  I'm not one for paying excessive prices for something that is actually very simple and cheap to make, but some things are just not worth going cheap on.  If you find a cheap one that is good, then that helps.  But there are also different version of Qi, where the latest allows for multiple coils and auto tuning.
