Got the Garmin Vivosmart band a couple of weeks ago. Used it for a week, but not really that useful for me.

Garmin Vivosmart fitness bands feature an invisible display that lights up when you receive a notification or tap the band to reveal a wealth of fitness information that syncs to Garmin Connect.

Key Features

  • Vivosmart automatically syncs your data with Garmin Connect, the online fitness community when you pair your Vivosmart with a Bluetooth device.
  • Receive smart notifications whenever you receive a text, call or email on a compatible Bluetooth device that is synced to your Vivosmart band, so you’re never out of the loop.
  • Wear your vivosmart around the clock for up to 7 days before a recharge is required. You can even wear it in the water, as it carries a 5 ATM water rating.
  • Set increasing daily personal goals with the Vivosmart fitness band, based on your current level of activity and fitness.
  • A built in inactivity timer gently vibrates the Vivosmart when you’ve been still for one hour. A couple of minutes of walking will reset the times and ensure you’re staying active.

Got it from JB Hifi in aus so it has aus/nz warranty.. It is black in colour.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

I think it does. Text messages and calls for sure. I will go home tonight and confirm what's app. Any other apps you would like me to test out?

Do you mean notifications from android? I use a Note 4 and it was showing me notifications from there (I think whatsapp was showing up as well but my memory is failing me)

Yeah. Any notification? Is that possible?

I tried googling and watching YouTube. There is no clear mention of this. They only mention that it works with message and call.

I can confirm whatsapp notification comes through along with the persons name and a bit of the message. The band vibrates as well.
