Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz quad core CPU (no cooler)

I'm not the first owner but came in a ex lease machine, so do not think it's been over clocked as the motherboard does not support it (I've been using it in the same machine)

A good we upgrade for any Core 2 compatible motherboard and a really great over clocker if your motherboard supports it!

$40 pickup Auckland by Eden Park

Reason for selling?  Upgraded to a SLIGHTLY less old q9650

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Something like that :)  I have a C2D media server which could use a couple more cores

My 'new' Q9650 cost me $140 off eBay :(

I would have got a X5450 Xeon as they're like for like with q9650 and compatible with a mod with 775 socket but not on my motherboard...they're closer to $70

TDP is an absolute maximum so I wouldn't equate it with real world usage
