if you just want to try and see if it'll work for you, the mini has an economical entry cost (cheap!) at around $50, or even less sometimes.

for me, the home hub (with a screen) works well. it's also a fabulous digital photo frame.

Yep, I have a nest mini and am slowly buying smart stuff.  Looking to add more to other rooms.

Keen on feedback on the home hub.  Is the connectivity good and do you do video calls on it?  Whats the mic quality like?

never had problems with the mic, even when we had it next to the tv... have moved it across the room since.

can't really do proper (2-way) video calls, because it doesn't have a camera... the nest hub max does, but i haven't got that.

home hub to mobile via duo works well.

connectivity... can't get the aussie version to use 5 GHz on my wifi. the US version does. haven't really found time to dig deep into this like i should.

I could well have a Hub for sale in the next few weeks, provided I can find a Hub Max to buy (as per https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumId=77&topicId=269968). They’re fantastic devices, especially as a ‘hub’ (surprisingly!) for smart home devices (especially lights and Chromecast audios, in our case). The photo display is probably my wife’s favourite feature.

The kogan nz web site has them and is shipping everything now as it's Australia based. Takes about a week to get here.

Sadly not at the moment - Kogan don't have them in stock and hasn't for the past few days at least:

Let me know if you're interested in our Hub...

That's a bugger as they were there a week ago. I think $300 odd. I am interested in you hub depending on price. Will that work with the not Bluetooth Phillips smart bulbs?
