I'm looking for a 24 port switch, with at least 8 (which realistically means 12 I think) standard POE ports. Ideally a desktop rather than rackmount form factor, don't mind about management/layer levels. Trying to simplify the network cupboard.

I've found the Netgear model ProSAFE JGS524PE and Dlink model DGS-1100-24P new for around the $450-500 mark. Just thought I would see if anyone has something they'd like to offload before buying new.

When you get over 12 ports of POE you tend to only have rack mount with a large power supply and a fan that can be noisy.
Plenty of old Cisco or similar on Trademe for 24/48 ports.
The smaller 8 port ones are harder to come by and often more expensive than the 24 port ones.
Have a look for the 3560G as I run one at home but I have it under the house so noise isn’t an issue.

This would do you nicely. But might be noisy.
