Hi All,

Does anyone have any dead Ozito PXC batteries that they want to get rid of?

I want one to use as a blank to hang my leaf blower.

I am in Auckland and collect if handy otherwise I can pay for post / courier.

Cheers

John

Plenty of 3d printed ones on TM to hang batteries on the wall but you want the opposite side to hang the tool!

Sounds like you need a 3D print of one of these

They are for the battery and not the tool

There are tool ones but they are too low profile as the blower motor hangs below the battery connector, also there is no clip to keep it on a vertical wall unless you hang upside down.

2 x Ozito 18v Power Tool Shelf Mounts - BLACK or RED | Trade Me Marketplace

I have seen those, not for a wall sadly, they also too low profile, I would need to block it out hence me asking for an old battery.

That way I can screw it to the wall, it is the correct depth and the clip on the battery holds the blower in place.

No, this one is definitely for the tool. Screwed to a block of wood you could have it as far off the wall as you like to accommodate the blower motor. The lack of clip would mean you'd have to mount with the blower nozzle facing up, simply sliding up to lift off the mount.

Have you considered having to reach between the wall and tool to access the clip to release it if using a battery? My thinking would be that would be a pain in the a*s!!

I have printed some similar things for my ryobi tools to hold them and found that it needed something better than PLA because they started to sag after a while and then bind up when taking on and off. Shame because the actual ryobi coloured PLA that I got from kiwifil is a great match. Perhaps if I redesign I would put a hole thru the middle and whack it over a steel bar to see if that helped or now.

I have a dead battery you can have, if you're still keen on that versus the 3D printed option. PM me.

Here is the finished product.

Very happy with the outcome.
