Hi

I have a brand new, boxed, unopened sony Vaio VGN-SR56GG laptop for sale.

CPU: Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53GH/z
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 512MB
Display: 13.3" 1280x800
Memory: 4GB
Hard drive: 320GB
OS: Windows 7 professional 64bit
Colour: Black.
warranty: 12 month international warranty

for more info see: http://www.playtech.co.nz/product.p...ail&id=8337

Reason for sale: My previous laptop was stolen, and this is what my insurance gave me as replacement. Decided I want a desktop.

The cheapest price for this notebook on pricespy is $2623, but I'll sell it for $2100 - remember it is brand new and comes unused (only unpacked it for the photos).

pics avail on request

I prefer if you could pick it up (Auckland), but I will ship it at your expense if required.

OT: You said unopened, yet the photos are clearly shown you have taken out of the box... Not disputing that it may be hasn't boot up yet, but it is kinda misleading that you said unopened and in actual fact it has opened for photos.

anyhow, it is a good deal, considering the buyer would've saved $500. What about the "warranty" since it is a replacement laptop from the insurance.

sorry $1500 is too low :p

I will ring the insurance co. when they're open and get the exact wording re: warranty, but I'm pretty sure it comes with the default sony warranty (1yr international)

So if it is manufacturer's standard 12-months warranty, but it is insurance replacement. If it does breakdown, that will mean the new (2nd hand) buyer is/won't be covered under CGA. Just wanna be sure and clarify this point as it is a bit of an uncertainty.

I tried calling sony and the insurance co. but both said call back during regular business hours.

However, I am going away on holiday tomorrow (Monday) until the 11th of Jan (I am actually in Auckland on the 2nd/3rd, but again thats weekend = closed), so I'll have to get back to you on the 11th.

Wow. sounds ages away.

What would shipping be to the UK? As I would also need to know this to evaluate if it is viable.

@geester1, probably not worth while to be honest.
