I've actually been running Oxygen on my X5 for the past few days and I have to say it is miles ahead of the B136 stock rom based on 2.2.1.

Oxygen is based on 2.3.5 and it is really quite smart and snappy.
A distinct increase in battery life, and it just feels a lot faster overall.
Quadrant B136 = 1422
Quadrant Oxygen = 1877

I have installed Oxygen too but now when it loads it constantly crashes android.process.media and the market as well. Did you have this issue too?

Generally speaking Oxygen seems solid as for me. Although if I load up the Spare Parts app, and then click on Battery History it always crashes out of the app. It doesn't crash the Android system, just that app.

Otherwise it is really stable.

I was finding with the B136 rom that it would randomly lock up (stuck on black screen, buttons wouldn't do anything), and it would restart after about 10-20 seconds. Haven't had that happen yet with Oxygen.

As per the previous instructions on page one: of this thread:

To fix force closes on MEDIA after first boot. To clear this error, go to SETTINGS -> APPLICATIONS -> DOWNLOAD MANAGER and select CLEAR DATA.

Yeah, I did try this before. I searched it a lot and couldn't find much on it. So I decided to install MIUI. That is way way awesome! Love it to bits!

I had this too - I did a factory reset from clockworkmod and it fixed these 2 issues. Battery history still crashes from spare parts menu though.

Sorry for the delay in replying. Out and about today. Here is a link the google apps that I got from Genokalars CM build. I think Google Code is getting shut down which might be why it has disappeared.

This will enable you to get the market up and running along with gmail etc. Apply it as a zip from recovery as you would a ROM upgrade.

My phone seems to be running great with Oxygen (alot nicer than the stock rom) and i ended up installing my old apps from titanium backup pro.

Only thing I noticed was that the market wasnt auto installing all my missing apps i bought, hence me falling back to installing them via titanium backup.
Gmail is already working fine.

Market seesm to be working in general, ie I can already search and download new apps it just doesnt seem to remember what i already had.

Ok my GPS is stuffed after upgrading to Gingerbread.

Takes forever to get a signal and constantly drops connection to satellite.

Huawei have just released 2.3.5 for U8800pro/+ and are apparently working on the release for the U8800 scheduled for end of month, are 2Degrees looking at this for official OTA update?
