Ahh I see

from network status - One of the international link providers that we (and other ISPs) use lost connectivity this morning. Traffic has been moved to other international links, however customers may still experience some slowness when using international websites or other Internet traffic. The provider is working to restore the link. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

So its nearly 10pm Friday night,  whats the betting nothing will happen till Monday

We are still working on this and will continue it is resolved - best case scenario would be within the next few hours.  Unfortunately the fault is upstream of our network so we are dependent on our supplier to address the issue.

If the issue isn't resolved tonight we have arranged a temporary augment of our IP Transit to cater for some of the lost capacity - so we have multiple cards in play.

Apologies for the inconvenience, this is an international fibre fault, and timely to identify and resolve across multiple networks.

Hi guys - the issue was resolved at 2am - required a card replacement by an upstream carrier.  Apologies for the service disruption - our engineers did a good job of balancing the capacity that we had to limit the impact.

however downloads are still crawling,  Looks like my static address which was outside the shaping range is now included.  This is annoying  so I guess I'll start shopping around for a ISP that doesn't shape.  Snap is looking promising at the moment.

Amp, if you can PM me your account details I will look into why you are experiencing slow service.  We are not yet into peak time, so I am surprised that you are experiencing delays.

I'm on 250GB limited, and over the weekend it seemed to me that bandwidth is better.  Both Netflix and Hulu seemed to be a little faster (as in watchable).

I'll try to note down my experiences over the next couple of nights and post what I'm seeing...

Don't think it's shaping, theres some sort of issue upstream. We're suffering the same thing, have been for nearly 2 weeks - on the static ip range 119.224.*

Still waiting for a resolution before my flatmates move us to another provider.
