Skinny also has issues with limited peering, right? How are Slingshot's peering arrangements?

We are one of the better peered ISP's. We openly peer.

Also no CGNAT on Slingshot

openly i'll give to you.

but better peered, is such a broad answer without context to target ;)

should be ok, will have to make sure CTF and FA are enabled though. otherwise it won't preform to peak.

Hello,

You are welcome to use any compatible vlan 10 modem on our Gigantic plan if you have a naked service. If you have homellie, that's mapped to the modem provided by us.

Cheers!

Can someone advise what international speeds are like off vs on peak?

Also, what's video streaming like (youtube, netflix, etc etc)

I'm currently on myrepublic gigabit it used to be ok, but lately at peak times, speed tests to local servers top out at 150mbit, and offshore is much worse.

I have 9 days remaining on my 24 month contract, so am looking at options.

Thanks very much.

PS - also, what's the charge for a static IP? I can't find it on their website.

Thanks again.

I've never had a problem streaming Youtube, Netflix, Amazon prime, TVNZ , at any time. Often streaming from more than one site at a time. I would be streaming from one site, teenage kids streaming from some other.

I don't have a static IP per se. But slingshots IP address are very sticky. I have had the same address for at least 18 months. They don't use CGNAT, so all ip addresses are public facing.

Thanks good to know.

How does the plan perform for overall speed? (eg speedtests), download observations etc?

All my devices are connected via wireless, so any speedtest I do will not be a realistic representation of internet speed. All I can say is I've never had any reason to question internet speed, at any time of the day.
I've been a slingshot customer for over 10 years. Never had any reason to leave.
