Been having the same issue for 3+ days now, and only just found this forum! Yay for sanity saver! I have been getting errors left right and centre from programmes trying to update, download or access some https sites, with errors ranging from "network connection has been lost" and "connection has been reset"

Services that have been affected for me are:
* updating ipod applications
* updating applications via itunes on my laptop/desktop
* updating computer games that require an internet connection (League of legends/Rift). Had been able to play Rift fine until it needed an update, then no go.
* using the Curse client to update said game addons
* accessing many https websites (such as the page required to verify my account on here)
* some aspects of Gmail pages do not correctly load (eg check boxes)
* Dropbox desktop client unable to make a secure connection, and cannot access dropbox.com
* cannot access icloud.com

I have just used a mobile broadband dongle to connect to the internet, and Curse client has updated all the addons waiting to update, and iTunes is currently updating an app that got stuck in the download queue when I was testing my connection. This of course leads me to assume that the issue is in fact with Slingshot.

Paper: Okay I rang up , I've got a thing sent in requesting to be moved to EUBA so thats relief :) , hopefully this fixes it. For now I've got a up to 2 day wait.

hope so too, i'm pretty sure im on EUBA already and i have the same problems...

Problem seems to only be BUBA customers. So probably not. :(

I've emailed the address Slingshot put up, I've been having constant steam disconnects (among other problems) for over a week now, hopefully they can do something about it.

I use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as my default DNS servers and i'm having no joy at all. Oh and i'm far from rural in the middle of Wellington also! All my https connections fail trying to establish the secure links

I'm wondering if there has been some stuff up in the shaping of traffic which is affecting UDP traffic at all and therefore throwing all DNS out the window?

Did slingshot make any changes to the way they handled their shaping of traffic recently?

Same here, Google DNS makes no difference.

Nope. We've got people on capped plans having the same issues. It looks to be people on BUBA having problems. I'm going through the emails sent to that social media box now so make sure you email your details through if you haven't already so we can make sure you're one of the first to get moved to EUBA if it's available for you.

Received a note that our job request had been closed and certainly this morning bittorrent traffic is back to normal speeds.
Will monitor this through the day but it seems the move to EUBA has solved the issue at this stage.

Thanks again to Chris for the help with this, great service.

My mrs got a text saying that our request has being processed, which was the move to BUBA->EUBA , so I'll also monitor it and get back to slingshot if it doesn't help the problem.

Emailed mine too. Everything started working yesterday morning until around 11 then it just stopped again. Its been 4 days lol.

So far so good. It's the afternoon and my browsing hasn't slowed to a crawl. Can still access Dropbox.

Seems changing uba type did the trick. I'd urge those of you still waiting on a fix to call slingshot and suggest the same for your account.

Now hopefully I didn't jinx it.

Yeah for me too, things are still fine here at 3.30 so hopefully that's sorted. Youtube was acting up the last hour or so which I've had in the past and fixed with a DNS change to Google's DNS servers but have rebooted the modem as I hadn't done that after the change to EUBA was made so hopefully YT will be ok after that.
