Hi,

Yes, I know I've already commented on another website being down this morning; clearly it's not my day!

My daughter's mobile (2 degrees number ported from Vodafone) and mine/my wife's (both on Vodafone) can't exchange texts at the moment.

Tried to check on 2degree's website if there were known issues, and lo and behold - the website was down.  This time, I used an obvious check:

Shortly after checking, the website seems to be back up; but still can't get any texts working.

Are there known issues in texting to/from Vodafone ported numbers at the moment?

Yup, 2D are having some fun at the moment...

Update : "We're pleased to say the issue has been fixed and services should be up and running normally now. We're really sorry for the inconvenience caused."

We're really sorry you picked the wrong day to port your daughters number over. It normally takes 2-3 hours from start to finish. :(

There may be a bit of a delay to porting due to this outage.

Cheers

Me thinks: "Where did you find that?  'Cause it isn't on the website..."

Turns out that the updates are on the 2Degrees facebook page...  Now I'm starting to feel old; didn't even think to check if they had a Facebook site.  I guess my mind is in the 21st century; but just maybe still in the first decade...

And yes, my daughter is now getting a string of text messages...

Actually, the number was ported a month or so ago; and the whole thing was very smooth and seamless.

At the time, the 2degrees rates on text bundles were much better for her to be able to afford.  The only thing she finds difficult is the minimum $20 topup - a $10 minimum would suit her cashflow much better!  :-)  (Currently she's putting $10 aside / month and will top up whenever the credit runs low on her pre-paid renewal)

Thanks for your concern, however.
